In 2011, Schirm GmbH began collaborating with ENVOTHERM to find a more environmentally friendly and cost-effective solution for wastewater treatment.

Schirm GmbH needed a solution that could treat and reuse their process water in a more responsible manner. The previous system was both expensive and inefficient, and the company wanted to reduce the costs associated with wastewater disposal while meeting environmental requirements.
The Solution
In 2015, Schirm GmbH decided to lease an ENVOTHERM Wastewater treatment plant under a three-year contract. ENVOTHERM’s technology makes it possible to purify and reuse their process fluid, and by implementing the system, Schirm GmbH has already achieved a 35% cost savings from day one.
The wastewater treatment plant is equipped with advanced sensors that monitor the system and trigger an alarm well in advance of any necessary cleaning or replacement of consumables. The system allows Schirm GmbH to monitor all parameters online via touch panels, cell phones, or computers. ENVOTHERM’s engineers can also remotely monitor the plant and respond quickly to any issues.
Schirm GmbH has decided to extend the lease agreement for another three years, as the solution has provided the company with a reliable and cost-effective way to manage its wastewater while maintaining a high level of environmental sustainability.
